STACS® History

The Smart Tactical Advanced Communications System “STACS” deployed and operational since 2009 (STACS 100), delivers reliable communications for daily operations, whether routine or emergency communications. The STACS system has been Tested and Approved for use by DHS for Border Security, (DIA) the Defense Intelligence Agency, (SOCOM) the Special Operations Command, and deployed in the Haiti relief effort, as well as in Arizona, California, Louisiana, Massachusetts, and Washington.

The First Generation: STACS 100

STACS® 100 Communications System

(supported, but no longer available)

STACS 100 systems can be upgraded to support most software capabilities of the STACS 200.

The STACS 100PP Field Deployment Kit provides seamless integration of Data, Telephony, and Radio over INMARSAT Satellite, Cellular and other back haul technologies.

Operational in under two minutes nearly anywhere in the world, the STACS system can be deployed by untrained personnel with a single button press and a simple satellite aiming process.

Standard 802.11b/g, Ethernet and radio interfaces provide immediate interoperability with a wide range of COTS devices including cameras, sensor networks and other network enabled devices.

STACS automatically selects the back haul link providing least cost service and switches back haul links as necessary to maintain reliable communications. Exclusive bandwidth optimization technology provides high quality Telephone and Radio links over satellite for under US $0.30 per call minute.
